Mr. Putnam is a “real” photojournalist. His photographs are not “posed” or contrived. “I shoot 10% traditional and 90% photojournalism.” says Mr. Putnam. “The closest I get to a ‘posed’ photograph is when I shoot family or other groups in the traditional setting. Otherwise, the bride and groom enjoy their wedding and reception while I discretely shoot hundreds of photographs. I once had a bride come to me during the reception and, in a huff, asked if I was going to shoot any pictures? She was not aware that I had already shot over 700 images. She unknowingly gave me the best compliment I could ever receive. I was doing my job and she was totally unaware of my presence.” Brides see their wedding for the first time through the eyes of their photographer. When you hire a photographer you are buying the skills of an artist. Each photographer is different in style, technique and temperament. It is important to have all these aspects match your own. Mr. Putnam does not direct your wedding. He quietly and unobtrusively records the memories you will cherish for a lifetime. We hope you enjoy touring a few of the many weddings we have been privileged to capture. After your tour, let us know what you think. We would love to hear from you!
